The doctor told him he had to take medicines, the family told him he had to take medicines. Everyone around him believed that medicines alone would take care of everything. But he knew everything wasn't just fine. He felt there had to be more he could do himself. Only 26 years into his life and 26 medicine names had already left an imprint on his mind. Buried deep into the stress of blood pressure, cholesterol, and various other heart problems, Vedant traveled all the way from Gujarat to Delhi to attend our Health Transformation Workshop, looking for someone to give him the answers that he was looking for. Did he find them? *“I felt that nobody believed I could change my habits, so the medicines kept going up. And 8 years later, I had more diagnoses than before”***

Restlessness

At times the days don't let you relax, the mind doesn't let you relax, people don't let you relax. But have you heard that even your heart could find it difficult to relax? Well! I definitely hadn't. Till the time my doctor told me I was suffering through something called Diastolic Dysfunction. And Google told me what it was. When your heart is having trouble relaxing between beats, it's called Diastolic Dysfunction. And guess what? When I thought my grading days were all over, I was wrong. Because here I was being graded all over again. Apparently, my condition had a grading system of its own. And I was at Grade 2.

Does it sound so bad?

Not even half of how bad it actually was.

I was told this is usually seen in much older people. But I was only 26, and already at a more serious stage. I was scared, because I believed this would stay with me for life.

Report showing Grade 2 Diastolic DysfunctionOn 28th November 2019, about 45 days after I began the Satvic lifestyle, my report showed no signs of diastolic dysfunction. So shocked that he called two other doctors and ran two more tests “just to be sure” if the scanner didn’t make a mistake in checking my heart.

How did it all happen?

The journey

Earlier, it was normal for me to do Bharatanatyam(a classical Indian dance form) for hours, it was normal for me to go for my Karate classes, it was normal for me to jump two steps at a time on the stairs, it was normal for me to play sports and run around all day, to hang out with friends, stroll at the beach and just enjoy life. While doing my research in early 2019 I came across Satvic Movement’s YouTube channel and for the first time in 8 years came across the idea that daily habits could make a real difference to my health. It was obviously difficult for me to be convinced because all my life I had only heard and believed the opposite. So automatically a whole new gateway of questions opened up. I wasn't ready to believe any of it until I first got all my answers. Who knew my answers were waiting for me in New Delhi. At once, I decided to book my flight to it and attend their Health Transformation Workshop. That was September 2019.2 hours into the workshop, and I wasn't only getting my answers, but I was also seeing people standing in front of me, who were living proof of it. People shared how their heart health had changed, some with problems even more serious than mine. How did they do it? Can I do it? Will I be able to do it?

Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!

And there she was, Subah, giving me all my answers, telling me the food that I should be eating, the steps that I should be taking, and I was sitting there, filling pages on pages with all the tips that I was getting. I could see it all happening. I could picture myself healthy again, free of the worries I had carried for years.

Now all I had to see was - Can I do it?

Restfulness

  • My days were supposed to start with Ash Gourd juice. Gujarat had none of that, but was that going to stop me? No! *

I found a vegetable vendor who agreed to get it sourced from Pune.

My family definitely would have fought with me if I told them I am going off of medication and changing my food. Was that going to stop me? Definitely not.

What did I do then? Just didn't tell them.

*I decided to keep this new way of living life only to myself and my wife till the time I didn't see results. *

Did that work? More than I had expected.

Because 45 days into the lifestyle, when they saw my new medical reports, they didn't need any convincing. They were beyond happy for me and believed what I was doing was right. All through those 45 days, and until today, my days have been built around rebuilding my relationship with the sun by sunbathing each day, with water through an enema and wet pack each day, with air through pranayama and brisk walking, and with earth by eating food cooked the Satvic way.Since November 2019, I have kept up these habits, and what I now have so much more than before is the peace of my mind, the peace of my wife, and the peace of my life.

*Vedant's follow-up report from November 2019*

Just like those people who were testimonials that I was seeking when I entered the workshop in September 2019, I too wish to be that testimonial for the one out there standing in those same shoes, asking the same question “Is that really possible.”

Because I now have the answer.

And I hope my answer gives you hope too.
